University of Michigan Alumni Association

Football Season

Football season at Michigan is like nowhere else in the universe! U of M Club of Greater Northville members know how to enjoy the game hype and root for the Wolverines. Some ways you can get involved include:

  • AWAY games: The Greater Northville Club gathers at the Northville Sports Den to watch the game. Come cheer on the Wolverines with fellow alumni! If you're going to an away game, check with the UM Alumni Association for information about tailgate parties.
  • HOME games: For select home games, the Greater Northville Club tailgates in Ann Arbor at the corner of Edgewood and Snyder. Look for Lou "Hi, my name is Lou, how do you do, and Go Blue!" LaChance’s van.

Away Game Viewing Parties

When the Wolverines are away, the Greater Northville Club gathers to watch the game at the Northville Sports Den in Northville Square at 133 W. Main St. in historic downtown Northville. Admission is $5, which helps the club support the U-M Women's Varsity Rowing Team. There are door prizes and food and drink specials during the game. Attendance and seating availability vary considerably with the team's record, the opponent, and the game time. We begin setting up the room one hour before kickoff. Arrive early if you want a seat for a big game.

Tailgate Parties for Select Home Games at the Corner of Edgewood and Snyder

Northville tailgateSaturdays before select home games, we gather at the "Go Blue!" van for a tailgate.  Bring a beverage for yourself. If you like you can bring food to share, and we'll have plenty of food to snack on, too. Get your Football Saturday off to a great start!
