To U of M alumni and friends:

Please donate to our scholarship program

Think about the impact your experience at the University of Michigan has had on your life. If you are like most alumni, being a Wolverine has made a lasting impression and created a lifelong quest for excellence. Now you have a chance to help others in their quest for excellence.

Since 1991, the U of M Club of Greater Northville has been helping local students chase their dreams by providing scholarships to help cover the cost of a University of Michigan education. Scholarships are awarded to graduating high school seniors residing within the club’s boundaries in Western Wayne and Oakland counties who demonstrate outstanding ability in leadership, scholarship, and activities. Recipients receive a certificate and $1,000 deposited into their U of M account to use when they attend any of the three University of Michigan campuses.  Here’s how some of our scholarship recipients responded:

"I cannot wait to seize the opportunities U of M has to offer. I hope that in the future I can be as helpful to others as you have been to me."    Margaret, Class of 2020

"This scholarship has lightened my financial burden, allowing me to focus more on my studies. Thank you for investing in my future.  I will work hard to honor your scholarship."         Aylin, Class of 2019

“This fall I will pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, and beyond that, a career of doing what I love. Your financial assistance moves me one step closer to this goal.”   Nathan, Class of 2017

These scholarships make a difference in the lives and academic careers of their recipients.  With your financial support, we can ensure that many more young men and women are able to receive an outstanding education at the University of Michigan.

History of the Club Scholarship Program

Since its inception in July 1990, the U of M Club of Greater Northville has awarded scholarships to area students attending the University of Michigan.  For the first ten years of the program, almost all scholarships benefited graduating seniors from Northville High School and Novi High School. In July 2000, the Alumni Association greatly expanded the geographic responsibilities of the Greater Northville Club. At that time, we expanded the scholarship program to include high school seniors living within the new club boundaries (eligible communities can be found on the scholarship application form). In 2016, we awarded scholarships to ten outstanding seniors from eight area high schools. We are always exploring new ways to expand our scholarship program to include more of the high school students living within our area.
