The U-M Club of Miami - Fort Lauderdale offers two types of scholarships for local students. Right now we're accepting applications for the our Freshman Student Scholarship, the due date is April 24 of each year. Here are the details on the two types of scholarships:

  • Freshman Student Scholarship
    This scholarship is for freshmen students. A scholarship recipient will be chosen based on essay questions responses and financial need. This is a onetime scholarship for $1500, and will not be renewed. Students living in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale Area that have been accepted at Michigan are encouraged to submit an application by April 24 of each year, and the selection will be made by May 1 of each year.   • Continuing Student Scholarship
    The process for the contintuing student scholarshipis is different. It is a one-time, non renewable, scholarship for a student that will be selected by the Office of Financial Aid (OFA), on behalf of the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Club. Here are the criteria the OFA uses:
  1. Current Michigan studentfrom the Miami or Ft. Lauderdale area who demonstrates financial need. 
  2. The potential scholarship recipient should be on the list of the OFA with zip codes ranges of 33000-33500.
