The U-M Club of Miami - Fort Lauderdale is proud to announce that Carlos Barajas received the 2014-2015 Continuing Student Scholarship. Carlos Barajas

Carlos is majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Math and he is part of the Michigan Engineering Honors Program. As a freshman, he did research in the nano particle department, investigating nano particles on semi-conducting surfaces. Also, during his first two years of college, Carlos was part of the SAE Michigan Baja Race team where he redesigned the primary clutch of the race car’s gearless transmission. Last summer, he interned at GE Aviation in the Engine Dynamics Department and this year he will be doing research in bubble dynamics and the effects of cavitation. In his free time, Carlos likes to explore new places and to play basketball and pool with his friends.

Congrats, Carlos!
