National Cherry Festival Cherry Royale Parade

CHERRY FESTIVAL 2017: The U of M Club Float will be on sabatical for the 2017 National Cherry Festival Cherry Royale Parade. The float will return in 2018 - and we are looking for a new chair and additional members for the Cherry Fest team. Instead, the U of M Club will be conducting a community service project with Child and Family Services during Cherry Festival - please join the Community Service team in 2017, and the float team for 2018.

Join the march - not to the Big House - but along the Front and Union Streets with U of M Club's A'Maizin Blue float during the National Cherry Festival Cherry Royale Parade (last Saturday of Cherry Fest). Our annual Big M decked flatbed will also host the local U-M Alumni Marching Band - under the masterful direction of Pete Deneen - with music that will have us cheering and singing Hail to the Victors many times along the route. Parade participation is open to all local and visiting U-M alumni, students, family, fans and friends of all ages. Wear your colors and join us!

If you are an alumni or current member of the Michigan Marching Band and would like to play on the float, please contact Pete Deneen or

If you would like to help assemble the float (not from scratch!), we'll meet a few days before the parade to spiff it back into shape. This is a fun task - join the prep crew! Email:
