Scholarships

The University of Michigan Club of Grand Rapids Scholarship

The U of M Club of Grand Rapids currently provides financial aid to over 60 students from West Michigan who are attending the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. The scholarships are awarded for four years and currently $3,750 per year per student.  In addition to meeting academic qualifications, students must demonstrate financial need and outstanding citizenship. To qualify for the scholarship, students must be a senior preparing to graduate from a West Michigan area high school.

THE SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE HAS PASSED FOR CLASS OF 2017 SENIORS.

This is the largest scholarship program of its type sponsored by an alumni club for any university in the United States. Interested students should contact their counselors at school.

The club welcomes contributions to the scholarship program and to help defray the expenses of other community programs. Please contact the club to arrange sponsorship of a scholarship, event or to obtain additional information. E-mail can be sent to grandrapidsclub@umich.edu.

The University of Michigan Club of Grand Rapids sponsors and participates in a variety of activities throughout the year, allowing members to engage in professional networking and community service, support scholarships and student recruiting activities, and socialize with fellow alumni.
