University of Michigan Alumni Association

Scholarships

The UM Club of Denver is proud to support the Michigan students who call the "Centennial State" home. Every year, thanks to the generiosity of our local alumni, our club awards a scholarship to an incoming freshman, returning undergrad, and graduate student. The scholarship program runs in the summer, typically kicking off in early June and wrapping up in August. Keep an eye on this webpage for the application and all the details.

If you have any questions about the application process, please contact our Scholarship Chair, Josh Kweller.

The U-M Club of Denver is proud to announce the results of our 2014 scholarship program. Each year, thanks to our generous members, we award three scholarships in the amount of $2,000 to students headed to Ann Arbor from the Centennial State.

"I’m honored and grateful to have been chosen for this scholarship. As a first year graduate student in social work at the University of Michigan focusing on interpersonal practice with children, youth and families, I hope to work in a Children’s Advocacy Center supporting abused and neglected youth through prevention, intervention, and advocacy. I’m delighted to be part of the Child Welfare Scholarship Program at U-M and to learn from so many esteemed scholars, stellar classmates, and seasoned practitioners. Go Blue!"
"My deepest gratitude goes out to the UM Alumni Club of Denver for their support as I embark on my University of Michigan journey. My goal during my time as a Michigan Wolverine is to cultivate the skills I need in order to become a public voice for science. Combining a technical background in aerospace engineering and a passion for public policy, I aim to bridge the gap between the scientific community and the general public, making technical concepts interesting and accessible to more than just the select few. With the vast resources of UM and its even vaster community at my fingertips, I am confident that my time at Michigan will empower me to unashamedly pursue this dream."
"I would like to thank UM Club of Denver for this scholarship. I am so grateful that such a club exists to make this scholarship possible and thankful to be a part of such a prestigious institution that is the University of Michigan. Forever go blue!"

Congratulations, and good luck to all of our Colorado U-M students as the school year gets underway!
