University of Michigan Alumni Association

Scholarships

The U of M Club of Albany annually awards undergraduate scholarships to local area residents who show academic excellence and leadership in their high schools and local community. The number of scholarships varies, but we annually award between $5,000 and $6,000. In 2016 we awarded three scholarships to students from Albany Academy, Guilderland, and Red Hook High Schools.

Completed applications for the scholarship are due by April 30th, with awards being made in May at our annual alumni dinner. The scholarship awards are issued as credits to the student’s account at the University of Michigan.

Should you wish to apply for a scholarship, please contact our Scholarship Chairman, Kim Schnell, at rschnell@nycap.rr.com.
